Raptors 905- New Professional Basketball Team
What is red, silver, black, gold, and white? Raptors 905! Raptors 905 is a Canadian professional basketball team in the NBA Development League based in Mississauga, Ontario. They are an affiliate of the Toronto Raptors and play their home games out of Mississauga’s Hershey Centre. Now you also know where the 905 comes from- the name 905 refers to an area code of the Greater Toronto Area. The Raptors 905 are not only colorful and talented but also very entertaining.
I recently had the opportunity to watch a game from the very first season of the Raptors 905. It was so much fun and super entertaining. Our kids were really excited to watch a professional basketball game. The fact that it is a high-level game featuring the NBA players of tomorrow added even more excitement. Five Raptors players, including Bruno Caboclo, Lucas Nogueira, Delon Wright, Anthony Bennett, and Norman Powell have all played with Raptors 905 this season.
The team will also play daytime games (11 a.m./12 p.m.) on three occasions this season. They will play one at the Hershey Centre and two at Air Canada Centre. The upcoming daytime games will be on January 27 at the Hershey Centre and on March 14 at Air Canada Centre. Group of tickets are available for as low as $9.05 and single tickets for $11.
