March Break fun at AGO

March Break Fun at AGO

We were so excited to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario during March Break. We spent most of our time painting, drawing and constructing!

From March 12 – 20, you can drop-in AGO for 9 days of creative family fun, including art-making, family-friendly tours, yoga, shop, dine and so much more. All drop-in programs and activities are FREE with the price of admission.

We had the opportunity to watch a fun performance by Zany Zircus with Fesso Zesso presented by Zero Gravity Circus. Fesso Zesso was juggling with participants in the audience. It was super entertaining and the stunts were amazing. Bravo!

In the Imagination Playground, the kids had so much fun building a house with big blocks. They also enjoyed The Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre. There was so much to do in the centre from drawing to role playing.

Our kids loved to dress up and pose for their own portraits in the Kid’s Gallery: Pets and Me. Afterwards you can post pictures of your pets on Instagram with the hashtag #AGOkidsgallery. The Kids’ Gallery: Pets and Me also includes books about pets, a drawing station and some gorgeous paintings of children and pets.

We stop by the Espresso Bar in Galleria Italia where we enjoyed delicious house-baked potato chips, gelato, and a few cappuccinos and Italian sodas. It was very nice to relax and enjoy the view- a showcase of wood and glass that runs the entire Gallery’s second level.

Make sure to visit AGO on Facebook and to check out their Twitter feed to learn more about how to make your March Break fun at AGO. Come by the Art Gallery of Toronto before March 20 to enjoy a free kid’s activity bag, art-making materials, experiments, and even a family yoga class. Your whole family will enjoy. Have fun!
