Packing For A Cruise
Traveling is one of my favourite things to do. Packing is definitely not. I rarely unpack when I am working- I have double of everything that I need in my suitcase. When we pack to go on a family trip, it is far from being easy.
As I am packing for a cruise, I thought I would share with you my personal tips. Get ready to vacation in the middle of the ocean with these tips for packing for a cruise.
Keep all your essentials in your carry-on bag, including your pajamas. Your luggage can get lost and you don’t want to be left without anything. Pack a change of clothes, your medication, toiletries and other items you can’t live without.
Bring casual and formal night outfits. Most ships have dinner attire requirements. You might have to dress formal to eat in the main dining room. Make sure to bring dresses, suits and ties. You could even bring the tuxedo you wore on your wedding day.
Save space by rolling your clothes rather than folding them. You could definitely apply the KonMari Method here. Start by folding your clothes the way you usually do and finish by rolling them. After they are nicely rolled, stand them upright in your suitcase.
Fill your shoes with small things like your socks, cellphone charger, and sunscreen. Shoes are probably the most difficult item to pack. They are big and have different shapes. Make sure to fill your shoes with small items so they are at least working for you.
Pack a first aid kit. You should be able to find most common over-the-counter medications onboard. However, I would strongly suggest that you bring your own. It is super simple to put together emergency items such as seasickness, diarrhea, and pain medications. You probably won’t need it, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Great tips for packing, thanks for sharing. The trick with filling the shoes in your suitcase with small items is one that I always use – it’s wasted space otherwise. đŸ™‚
