Maison Orphée Olive Oils and Sunflower Oils
Are you using olive oil? I do much more than using it, I actually drink it. A tablespoon a day is all I need to fully enjoy the flavor of my favourite olive oil. If you would like to appreciate the flavor and aroma of olive oil, you must taste it straight from a small wine glass.
I am no stranger to Maison Orphée, in fact I am probably one of their biggest fans. Their olive oils, sunflower oils, and condiments are made with the highest quality of fruits and seeds. You can tell by the flavours and the smell that Maison Orphée carefully selects their ingredients.
La Maison Orphée has over 20 years of expertise in first cold pressing and offers products that meet high quality standards:
”Our oils are made from a particular know-how which is the first cold pressing. It’s a process in which the oil seeds, not preheated, are pressed just once, without adding heat and at the lowest possible temperature, in order to extract part of the oil they contain (this temperature may vary depending on oil content and hardness of the seed to be pressed). In the tradition of authentic master oil makers, all of our oils result of the patient work of slow pressing, the only way to extract the best from oil seeds. ”
Some of my favourite Maison Orphée oils are the Extra-virgin Olive Oil Peppery Spain, the Extra-virgin Olive Oil, the Unrefined Sunflower Oil, and the Sunflower Cooking Oil. The Unrefined Sunflower Oil is produced in Québec city, in the Maison Orphée oil mill. I like to use the Unrefined Sunflower Oil as a seasoning in salads and to bake muffins.
While visiting Maison Orphée website, I noticed that they have a recipe section filled with beautiful recipes made with their products. I will definitely try many of their recipes, including their Mini Corn Muffin and their Pumpkin Bread. Yum!
Visit them on Facebook and on Twitter to find out more about their amazing products.
This sounds like something I would use all the time when cooking.
