I own 5 diono radian rXT car seats and if I had to buy a 6th one, it would also be a diono radian rXT. You wonder why? Because safety is always the first thing that comes to my mind when I purchase something. Anything.

With safety features like a steel alloy frame, aluminum reinforced side walls, energy absorbing EPS foam, and a five-point harness, the diono radian rXT is one of the safest car seats on the market. It also has reinforced adjustable head support that provides additional side impact protection. New for 2017, the reinforced adjustable head support is made with premium plush interlock knit fabric.

The diono radian rXT has the ability to be rear-facing until 45 lbs (height limit 57″), forward-facing until 65 lbs (height limit 57″), and will convert into a booster for up to 120 lbs (height limit 57″). That makes the diono radian rXT a very secure car seat for newborns to 12 year old.

I love that it sits low on the vehicle’s seat for easy child boarding and that it is certified to use on airplanes when used with the harnesses. Yes, I bring my diono radian rXT car seats when we fly! So far they have been to the Philippines,  Cuba, Florida, and Las Vegas. It also folds flat for travel and is FAA certified 10 year life from date of purchase. MSRP: $399.99. It is not exactly a budget friendly car seat but it is worth every penny.
