Get into the holiday spirit by visiting Canada’s Wonderland WinterFest.
We had the opportunity to visit Canada’s Wonderland WinterFest this week and we are so glad we did. It was our first time visiting Canada’s Wonderland during the cold weather and we couldn’t believe how beautiful it was.
The decor was absolutely breathtaking with millions of lights and hundreds of Christmas trees everywhere including two 50-foot Christmas trees on International Street.
Not only was the decor worth seeing but WinterFest also featured live shows, ice-skating on Snow Flake Lake (advance online reservations required), and 23 rides including children’s rides in Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town, and others like Thunder Run, Klockwerks, Psyclone, and Sledge Hammer. I had no idea that we could enjoy rides during the cold season!
During our visit we decorated cookies with Mrs. Claus, we enjoyed festive food at the brand-new Lazy Bear Lodge restaurant including pouding chomeur (yummy!), we shopped for Christmas gifts, and we drank delicious hot chocolate in fun collectible mugs. We even met Midway Merriment characters along the way. The fairies were so cute!
Of course, we couldn’t leave Canada’s Wonderland without eating a funnel cake. Our funnel cake was deliciously topped with vanilla ice cream, a tree-shaped cookie, and candy cane pieces.
WinterFest runs on select nights until December 31, 2022, and this year features Jack Frost’s Igloo Village where you can rent your own cozy private igloo for the evening with concierge food and beverage service.
I suggest that you check out the WinterFest map and activity planner to plan your visit. You can find all the information you need at canadaswonderland.com/calendar-and-hours.
Also, note that Canada’s Wonderland moved to all cashless payments throughout the park. You can use your credit card, debit card, or smart device with Apple Pay or Google Pay. You also have to option to convert your cash into a prepaid debit card at the Cash-to-Card Kiosks in the park.
Make sure to bring all your friends and your whole family! You don’t want to miss it!
