Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Canadian Jewellery Designer, Anne Sportun at her flagship Queen St. West Store. She was hosting a unique jewellery event to showcase her handcrafted jewellery collections.
Canadian Jewellery Designer: Anne Sportun
Anne Sportun has been creating jewellery in Toronto for over 25 years using original techniques of goldsmithing that are not often used today. Each piece of jewellery is created using traditional methods including wax casting, hand-set diamonds and gemstones, and handmade textures and finishes.
It was such a fun opportunity to be styled by Anne’s lead jewellery stylists and to discover new ways to wear jewellery. I fell in love with many pieces from her collections.
This long wrap bracelet strung with sparkling pyrite beads, 18k yellow gold hex, bead and clasp is breathtaking. It is 3 pieces in one. A bracelet, a long necklace and a doubled up necklace. It is strung on stainless steel wire, so it can even get wet. The Wrap collection features several contemplative gemstone bead pieces to wrap, layer and personalize with charms. They make the perfect holiday gift for anyone who likes elegant handcrafted jewellery.
The image below is a stunning Bold Cuff from the Stardust collection. Made of gold and diamonds, it is the perfect piece to add to your holiday outfits.
These colorful rings are from the One of a Kind collection. Each piece is exceptional and can’t be found anywhere else. There is only one like it in the world.
This gorgeous diamond ring below is from the Bridal collection. As you can see, the ring is stacked with 2 wedding bands. I absolutely love this look!
Anne and her team handcraft each piece individually. It gives each piece longevity and personality. Anne’s philosophy “Precious Everyday” is reflected in her unique jewellery designs. Canadian Jewellery Designer Anne Sportun is one of Canada’s leading fine jewellery designer. Her collections can be found at her flagship store in Toronto’s fashionable Queen Street West neighbourhood, and in highly regarded fine jewellery boutiques across North America and the UK.
