Coupon Stacking in Canada

Coupon Stacking in Canada

is when you take multiple coupons, with different UPCs, to pay for the same item in a single transaction. In Canada, no store except London Drugs permits coupon stacking at the moment. Coupon stacking  is one of the many extreme couponing tactics.

However, after looking deeper into this subject, it seems like nobody really knows for sure.  Even after reading coupon policies, some stores don’t seem to apply them. This can be very confusing. One thing that we know for sure is that London Drugs is very popular among couponers because it is the only store in Canada to publicly recognize coupon stacking.

I haven’t tried it –YET. Thanks maybe i can use two of the same product coupons, with different upc’s. I call my hanging onto the BOGO”S until I have a coupon to place on the item bought..That is kind of stacking. But the policy’s state—YOU CAN use a coupon on the ITEM purchased and not on the FREE item. So I always place two coupons down–for the two products. Not often does anyone ask..
Thank-you for all your assistance here in the coupon world. I have a group here in Collingwood, and use your info often. Thanks for all the HELP 🙂

I coupon stack just about on a weekly basis at London Drugs. It’s a wonderful added bonus to using coupons and has saved my family hundreds of dollars on medicine, splenda, bath and beauty products etc.
Each London Drugs has their own limitations on what can be stacked and what can’t. For example, in Red Deer we’re not able to use in store coupons in our stacks for the product. We have to make our stacks based on regular price without in store coupon.
Edmonton London Drugs allows their customers to use the in store coupons with the stacks. Bigger city, bigger inventory I suppose.
The wording that is “stackable” at London Drugs is “limit one coupon per purchase”, “not to be combined with another offer” . Not to be combined with another offer is stackable as it’s too vague as to what the offer is.
If the wording is “not to be combined with another coupon offer” then it isn’t stackable.
Each coupon has to be valid in Canada with a Canadian mailing address, valid expire date and different upcs for each coupon in the stack.

Stacking requires a time commitment and generally trading cross country to gather all the necessary UPCs, but I have stacked for a number of products in the past year and will continue to do so where possible, however more and more companies are changing the wording on their coupons to exclude stacking.
