Ingredients for your Crockpot Mongolian Beef
- 1 lb. Flank Steak, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup Cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Minced Garlic
- ¾ cup Soy Sauce
- ¾ cup Water
- 1 cup Grated Carrots
- 4 Green Onions, cut into large pieces
- Optional—chopped green onions for garnish
Directions to make Crockpot Mongolian Beef
- Put the steak into a large plastic bag, add the cornstarch, and shake until well coated.
- In the crockpot, put the oil, garlic, sugar, soy sauce, water, grated carrots, and green onions. Mix everything together.
- Add the steak to the crockpot and mix well.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve over rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
- Delicious and easy for a weeknight meal!

Yes, there are substitutes for flank steak. Flank steak is definitely my favourite option but you could also use skirt steak, hanger steak or use thinly sliced sirloin steak.
