How many remote control vehicles do you have at home? I probably have more than I can remember but I have one that I won’t forget. My Darkside Ollie!
After getting it through the worse case scenarios, my Darkside is still up and running (I mean rolling.) Directly controlled by your smartphone, Darkside Ollie will flip, drift, and spin as you wish. With his set of Turbo tires and Flux extra wheels you can bring it outside and try it out on different terrain. Drive it on mountains of dirt or drive it down your patio stairs, Darkside will keep asking you for more. Darkside Ollie has a beautiful design and is constructed with a polycarbonate shell. Darkside Ollie’s polycarbonate shell protects its engine while the design repels water. You can put it through everything you can imagine without having to worry about it breaking.
There is no power button to turn on and off Darkside Ollie. After downloading its app, you can activate it via Bluetooth Smart by tapping your smartphone on it. Once it is paired, you can give a name to your Darkside Ollie. I called mine Vadar, not really sure why. This app gives you the power to control everything about Darkside, including its glowing LED colors, its speed, turn radius, and acceleration. Sphero rates Darkside Ollie as capable of up to one hour’s drive time with a full charge. The onboard intelligence tracks color preferences, distance, airtime, trick combos, and more. This machine tops out at 14 MPH, faster than I can run! The app is available for Android devices, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Darkside, an app-enabled robot is similar to Sphero’s original Ollie, but as you can see it is more devious and defiant.
