What is Blackberry Cobbler?
A cobbler can describe many different dishes. The cobbler as we know it, is a fruit or savoury filling poured into a deep baking dish and covered with batter.
My favourite cobbler is definitely the blackberry Cobber. Peach cobbler being second. Just imagine perfectly cooked blackberries with a slightly salty hot dough and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Don’t you want some now?!

½ cup granulated sugar
For the cake/cobbler:

How do you clean fresh blackberries?
You can wash blackberries right away after you buy them. Blackberries will have a longer shelf life if you wash them in a vinegar and water solution or in a hot water bath. After, simply make sure to dry them well especially if you are planning to store them for later.
