Ingredients for Everything Bagel Recipe
Here is what you will need:
- 300 g warm water
- 10 g active dry yeast
- 1 ½ tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 ½ cup bread flour
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup Everything Bagel seasoning
How to Make this Everything Bagel Recipe
STEP ONE: In a small bowl or measuring cup stir together water, yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit for 10 mins.
STEP TWO: Combine bread flour, salt, and yeast mixture.
STEP THREE: Work the dough together by hand until smooth (7-10 mins).
STEP FOUR: Add Olive oil to a clean bowl and place dough on top. Cover with a damp towel and sit in a warm place for one hour.
STEP FIVE: After an hour, punch the dough and place it onto a floured surface.
STEP SIX: Divide the dough into 6 pieces. Roll the dough into circles.
STEP SEVEN: Place a sheet of parchment paper on your baking sheet.
STEP EIGHT: Lightly flour the surface and place the dough balls on top. Cover and let sit 10 mins.
STEP NINE: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
STEP TEN: Prepare a large pot of boiling water.
STEP ELEVEN: Flour the tips of your fingers and pinch a hole through the ball of dough.
STEP TWELVE: Place the bagels into the pot of boiling water for one minute on each side, then return to the baking tray. Do not overcrowd the pot, dip in batches.
STEP THIRTEEN: Brush the tops of the bagels with an egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water).
STEP FOURTEEN: Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning.
STEP FIFTEEN: Bake for 20 min or until golden brown.
