If you had told me a year ago that I would be posing in a bathing suit on my blog I would have laughed at you. Well, here I am in front of all of you posing in a bikini for everyone to see.
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Archipelago Swim.
Not only was this experience very liberating, but it was also a very generous gift to be trusted by Archipelago Swim to represent their luxury swimwear.
Jamie Haiden, designer and founder of Archipelago Swim started sewing for friends that could not find swimwear in their size. With so many of us having the same problem, she fell in love with the process of making swimwear for women of all sizes.
She believed that every woman should have the opportunity to feel beautiful in a swimsuit and feel good about herself.
She was right, so right. I wasn’t feeling beautiful in a bikini until now. My fabulous bathing suit is a custom made Carvico Black Floral Embroidered Halter Bikini Top paired with a Carvico Black High Waisted Sport Bottom.
This luxurious bikini fits me like no other and is very soft and comfortable to wear. I still wonder how she was able to incorporate so much support while keeping it so sexy.
The top’s design has been hand-drawn onto the fabric, cut out, and hand-embroidered onto the mesh. A real masterpiece! The high neckline and the elastic chest band give this top an athletic feel and a very sexy look. Don’t you think? The high waisted sport bottom offers amazing coverage, shape, and support.
This opportunity made me realized that you don’t have to show it all to be sexy. You can pick and choose which parts of your body you want to show off and which ones you want to cover a little more. As you can see, the high waisted bottom did just that- hiding a belly that I don’t particularly want to show off.
This opportunity was a lot more than getting a new bathing suit, it was an experience that I won’t forget. From the very beginning, Jamie made me feel like my curves were just as fantastic as I am.
I took my own measurements using her sizing diagram, sent them to her, and then we had a short discussion about my personality and preferences. It was a very easy process. She is so talented. She made the perfect bikini to suit my body in only a few days.
My bikini is a part of the collection Eco Black. The whole collection is made of Carvico fabric from Vita, which is a sustainable techno-fabric made of an ECONYL regenerated Nylon. They were able to turn waste into a very resistant, stretchy, and elegant fabric making it perfect to create swimwear.
The Bright and Bold collection also features stunning designs in hot fluorescent colours set on grey power mesh. Jamie Haiden is also currently working on her latest collection- the Monstera, made with beautiful fabric in olive sage green.
You can follow her on Instagram and Facebook to sneak a peek.
I am delighted to be a part of this experience and to stand for change in the fashion industry by wearing this amazing creation by Archipelago Swim.
Tell me now, what do you think? Would you like to wear a bikini and feel amazing too?
