Apple cider vinegar provides a wide range of benefits. If it’s currently not part of your “stay healthy” routine, now is the perfect time to incorporate it into the mix. Here are a few of the reasons why.

Prevents  Indigestion

If you suffer from indigestion, frequent or otherwise, this tip will help to relieve or even eliminate the issue. Mix one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon ACV in a glass of warm water. Drink it 30 minutes before mealtime.

Promotes Healthier Skin

Apple cider vinegar contains antibacterial properties, along with lactic and malic acids. These things help to balance your skin’s pH level, reduce red splotches and exfoliate.

Thins Mucus

Dealing with an uncomfortable stuffy nose? ACV to the rescue! The potassium in the vinegar helps to thin mucus. Acetic acid helps to slow down pesky germ growth. One teaspoon mixed into a glass of water aids in kicking sinus congestion to the curb!

Eliminates Dandruff

Just like with your skin, vinegar balances the pH level on your scalp. Makes sense, right? When this happens, it’s more difficult for yeast to grow and dandruff to form.

Don’t waste money on expensive dandruff shampoo. Simply mix equal amounts of water and vinegar in a small spray bottle and spray on your scalp. Next, wrap your head in a towel and allow it to sit for up to one hour. The last step is to wash your hair, as you normally do. It’s recommended that you repeat the process at least twice a week.

Apple cider vinegar is extremely affordable. So, there’s no reason why you can’t take full advantage of all of the health benefits it has to offer. You typically won’t see results overnight. However, with continuous consumption and use, you should begin to notice positive changes in no time at all!

    I tried drinking a bit before bed for a few months. I didn’t notice any difference personally, but people say it helps.

    If you also mix 1/4 tsp of turmeric with the ACV, into a warm cup of water; it adds to the benefit of thinning mucus and helps with inflammation (i.e. swollen lymph nodes, inflamed chest including coughs, and reduces sinus swelling).
