What are your kids favorite toys? Legos, of course. They all enjoy playing with Legos and building the tallest, biggest, structures ever. Growing up, I also loved playing with Lego bricks and imagined the most colorful  princess castles.

Today, I still love playing with Lego Bricks and Minifigures, especially if they are made of Jello! You heard that right! We made Jello Jigglers Lego Bricks and Minifigures this week and I couldn’t wait to share the recipe with you.

What’s Needed to make your Jello Jigglers Lego Bricks and Minifigures

Lego Silicone Molds

5 different 3 oz flavors of Jell-O

Gelatin Packets (2 per 1 box of Jello so I used 10 packets)

Corn Syrup

Directions

In a 1 cup measuring cup, measure ½ cup of ice-cold water. Squeeze a ¼ cup of Corn Syrup directly into the water. The measure cup should now read ¾ cup, with ½ cup water and ¼ cup of corn syrup. Mix together until clear.

Add the mixture in a medium size sauce pan. Add 2 packets of gelatin and 1 box of Jello and mix well. You will see clumps of gelatin/Jello, and that’s okay.

Over Low heat (NO hotter) slowly heat up the mixture. While the mixture is heating up, take a rubber spatula and press down and slide those clumps on the bottom of the pan to help them dissolve.

Keep doing that until all clumps are gone. While stirring constantly, continue to heat the mixture for 10-12 minutes or until the Jello/gelatin is dissolved and the mixture is somewhat clear.

Remove from heat and pour into a glass measuring cup. Let sit for 3- 5 minutes. This will allow any of the gelatin mixture to come to the top. Scrap off the cloudy mixture and discard. Doing this will allow for a clearer Lego.

Pour mixture into the Lego molds. Repeat process for the remaining Jello flavors. Place molds in refrigerator until solid. I left mine in for 3-4 hours. The longer you leave them in the fridge, the less sticky they will be.

Pop the Legos out of the molds. The easiest way is to just bend the mold and pull the Jello Lego out.

Eat right away or refrigerate in a container for up to a week.
