Mr. Peabody & Sherman Review #MrPeabody
My kids and I have been looking forward to the upcoming release of Mr. Peabody & Sherman movie.
I have to admit that I was caught by surprise when I realized that Mr. Peabody & Sherman movie was not, in my opinion, for young children. The movie is for the most part fun to watch and very entertaining with all its colourful images but many things just didn’t sit right with me. One of the things that stuck to my head is when Penny attacks and humiliates Sherman in the cafeteria at school. That was not fun to watch at all. Another thing that stood out for me was to see Mr. Peabody mixing drinks called “Einstein on the Beach” for his guests.
We enjoyed the historical part of the movie but once again they were a few very scary situations. I personally don’t think that this is a kid movie, too many of the jokes are aimed at parents and older audiences. There is just too much happening at the same time without much explanation and the images are moving too fast.
