Rotini Meatballs Recipe

Rotini Meatballs Recipe

Making meals for your family is often a challenge. Your meal have to be healthy , easy to make and inexpensive.  With all these factors in mind, I made this Rotini Meatballs Recipe that everyone in your family will enjoy.

Meatballs Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Tomato Sauce Ingredients
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) no-salt-added diced tomatoes
1 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbsp onion, diced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Other Ingredients
250 grams cooked rotini pasta
2 cup shredded cheese
Grated parmesan  and red pepper to taste

Directions
Use your hand to combine all the meatballs ingredients. Pan fry them in extra virgin olive oil until fully cooked. Set aside in a bowl.

In the same pan add onion and garlic and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the rest on the tomato sauce ingredients. Boiled on medium heat for 15 minutes.

Stir in the cooked rotini, the meatballs and some shredded cheese. Spoon into a baking dish and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top of the casserole. Bake for 25 minutes, until the cheese becomes golden.

Serve with red pepper flakes and grated parmesan.

Voilà!
