You will love our Slow Cooker White Beans on a Budget. It is a hearty, wholesome, comforting slow cooker recipe made with Northern beans and ham.

Slow Cooker White Beans on a Budget

Slow Cooker White Beans on a Budget

Slow Cooker White Bean on a Budget is pure comfort food packed with nutrients. The Northern beans are tossed into the slow cooker with a ham bone (or hocks, or ham), and onion powder. It is slow cooked until the Northern beans  are tender and filled with a delicious smokey taste. Not only this recipe is delicious, but buying dried beans is an amazing way to feed your family while saving money. Dried beans are inexpensive to buy and you will get significantly more than buying canned ones. They are also jam-packed with protein and fiber just like lentils.

Kitchen tools you’ll find helpful

The slow cooker that I have used for this recipe is the Crock-Pot 6-Quart Programmable Cook & Carry. It is a great slow cooker for a good price. Another great option would be the Hamilton Beach 6-Quart Programmable. Check out the reviews!
