What you will need to prepare your Spun Spider Web Halloween Cupcakes
6 Prepared Chocolate Cupcakes
1 Can Marshmallow Fluffy Frosting
1 Tbsp Corn Syrup
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Water
Plastic Spiders (ring spiders also work)
Parchment Paper
Candy Thermometer
Directions
1. In a medium saucepan, mix together corn syrup, sugar, and water.
2. Over high heat, bring mixture to a boil. Stir constantly until you have reached a boil.
3. Stop stirring once the mixture is boiling. Boil for about 6 minutes or until your thermometer reaches 280 degrees.
4. Take the saucepan off the stove and create small round webs on parchment paper with a wire whisk. I spun the whisk in circles and crisscrossed back and forth a few times until I had a web. Try to work fast. The candy will harden quickly.
5. Let cool.
6. Frost the cupcakes while the webs are cooling.
7. Once the webs are cooled, carefully stand them up on each cupcake. You can take a knife and make a small score on each cupcake and place the web in the scored line.
8. Place spiders carefully on each cupcake.
9. Enjoy!
