We love celebrating St. Patrick’s Day every year. We enjoy decorating our home and making some fun St. Partrick’s Day desserts. We are not Irish but we definitely love to join the festivities. Every year on March 17th, you will see us wearing green and gold clothing and making these cute St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Hats with the kids. They are super easy to make and I am sure that your whole family will enjoy them.
St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Hats
Ingredients
Large Marshmallows
Fudge Cookies and Keebler Mint
Yellow Starburst Minis
Green Candy Melts
Green Sprinkles
Xtreme Airhead Rainbow Strips
Toothpicks
Directions
Take the green candy melts and put them in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 30 seconds and stir. Do this again until they are melted.
Insert a toothpick into the marshmallow and dip it into the chocolate, making sure to coat the entire marshmallow. Then dip just the bottom of it into the green sprinkles and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Remove toothpicks and let dry for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Using a sharp knife, cut little shamrocks out of the rainbow strip candy.
Place the cookies on another baking sheet, put a dollop of the melted chocolate in the center, and place the marshmallows on top. Let set again for about 5 minutes.
Now, using a small amount of melted chocolate, “glue” on the shamrock and the yellow buckle to the hats. Let dry.
Ready to enjoy or store in airtight container!

I think these hats are super cute and if they’re chocolate mint then I’d say they’re the best because I love chocolate mint.
I have green chocolate melts, but no marshmallows!
Oh boy, these are marvellous, kids will love them and adults too 🙂
Oh these are so sweet. Well done, especially the shamrocks.
