We just had the ultimate birthday dance Party. It was the best birthday party ever according to my daughter. We did have a blast, it was most definitely the best party we had in years.
The Ultimate Birthday Dance Party
This post is sponsored by In The Mix. All opinions are mine.
As you know it is not always easy to please tweens and it is even harder to impress them. My tween daughter is definitely acting like she knows it all and that nothing can surprise her. Well, well, well. She didn’t see that one coming!
In fact, Sam from In The Mix caught everyone by surprise. She arrived smiling and carrying a tote bag. My daughter had no idea about what was going on. After sitting in a circle to talk about our birthday girl and her friends, it was already time to warm up. ”Wow”, my daughter said, as Sam was blasting the music from a speaker she had retrieved in her bag. ”Let’s dance!”.
Birthday Dance Party
Our ultimate birthday dance party started right there with the coolest Hip-Hop dance moves taught by our delightful instructor. We even had the opportunity to learn the floss dance. No kidding! With the help of her Ipad and the In The Mix App, Sam recorded everything the kids were doing. The kids danced, threw balloons, and rolled down the hill in our backyard. Afterwards, Sam created a unique music video with all the short films she was taking.
The video came out amazing with lots of amazing special effects. The kids had as much fun doing the video as they did watching it. What an incredible way to create memories for years to come. This video represents so much to us – all the friendships, love, and fun the kids had on this very special day.
We could not have asked for a better birthday dance party. It was everything and more. Our talented, funny, and patient dance instructor from In the Mix made it all possible. If you would like to throw the ultimate birthday dance party too, I highly recommend that you check out In the Mix. They also offer interactive kids yoga and mindfulness sessions. My kids are already planning one!
”We bring the iPads, Speakers, Music and Moves. You choose the time and location. We take care of the rest, while you sit back and enjoy”!

I don’t even know what the floss dance IS! Apparently, I am not cool at all but this sounds like such a great experience and also a really neat way to incorporate outdoor time/exercise/fun.

This type of party would have been a huge hit with me as a tween! Great concept for a party! I bet your daughter’s guests went home with a big smile on their faces.

That sounds like a truly fun and age appropriate party for tweens. Love how she taped it and It looks like she got even the jaded tweens involved in the process and having fun. Great idea!

That looks like a fun party! I love how she took videos through out the party and then made a special video.
The kids yoga and mindfulness sessions sound great and something I would love to.
