Things to do in Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls has always been one of my favourite destinations. I like to visit there all year round as every season brings different fun things to do. My latest trip to Niagara Falls was this summer for our family vacation. As usual, Niagara Falls kept us entertained from the beginning to the end of our 2 day layover. Here are some of the things we did in Niagara Falls during this vacation:
Clifton Hill
We always have a lot of fun exploring Clifton Hill. This famous street is known as the fun spot of Niagara Falls. There is live music, stores, restaurants, and fun things to do like Ripley’s Believe It or Not and the Fun House. To fully enjoy Clifton Hill, you can order your Clifton Hill Fun Pass online to save money on 5 different attractions.
Canadian Falls & American Falls
Niagara Falls is the name of three breathtaking waterfalls, the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls, with its unbelievable flow rate of an average of 750,000 gallons each second, is located on the Canadian side. The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls are located on the US side. The Bridal Veil is the “smallest” falls among the three.
Bird Kingdom
We never miss the opportunity to visit Bird Kingdom each time we are in Niagara Falls. Bird Kingdom with their indoor free-flying aviary, is home to more than 80 species of birds. The main aviary features a breath taking 40-foot waterfall. Our little ones love to hold and touch the animals, including various birds, parrots, and reptiles.
Niagara SkyWheel
Get on the Niagara SkyWheel for the most magnificent views, ever! The fully enclosed climate controlled gondolas will bring you 175 feet above the Niagara Falls horizon. It is the largest observation wheel in Canada. The ride is about 8 to 12 minutes, leaving you enough time to take photos of the view. The Niagara SkyWheel will replace the Falls Tower. Use your Clifton Hill Fun Pass to save money.
Fallsview Indoor Waterpark
We had the opportunity to visit the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark for the first time. We had a wonderful time swimming in the wave pool and playing in the multiple activity areas. My husband built up the courage to try the high-speed water slides and came back very pale while harboring a victorious smile. Haha. After trying the Plunge Bowl, which is more of a family slide, I stumbled across the hot tubs. I stayed in the hot tub until closing time. We stayed at the Skyline Hotel & Waterpark, which is connected to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark. We really enjoyed our stay and the very nice and welcoming staff.
