10 sensory activities to try this summer!
You probably already know that sensory activities are excellent tools for young children to stimulate their sense of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing. Guiding them through sensory activities is a great way to build essential skills they will later learn in school, like math and language skills.
Did you know that all children need help to learn how to use their senses? This is why it is so important to provide your children with a lot of opportunities for sensory play. I must admit that I enjoyed these 10 sensory activities to try this summer as much as they did. There is something about sensory play that bring you back to the basics and help you to focus on the moment. I believe it can help young children and even older ones (like us!) to calm ourselves and feel better. Obviously the cleaning time is not exactly the most exciting part of playing but there are many ways to simplify things. Our typical sensory activities are often taking place in the backyard or in the bath. They are definitely not super fancy but just as fun and effective.
Wondering where to start? Simply have a look at these 10 Sensory activities to try this summer and let me know which one you will try first.
