Cities That Host Big Holiday Events

With the holidays approaching quickly a lot of people are scrambling to figure out how they would like to spend their holiday. I personally think that traveling during the holiday season is such an amazing experience! There are so many cities that host big holiday events and festivals that are a absolute must see. This is why today I am sharing with you these cities that host big holiday events. If you are looking to travel this winter, you must check out this list of amazing holiday events!

Gatlinburg, Tennessee: Every year hosted in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is the Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade. This event will be hosted on December 4 and it is free for admission. This parade is amazing to watch because it is full of floats, Christmas lights, balloons, confetti, and of course Santa Claus is included in the parade!

Hollywood, California: This one is amazing because it is the parade for Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is an organization that raises money and donates toys for the military children of the world and gives them the opportunity to have a proper Christmas. This parade is being hosted on November 29th and it will begin on Hollywood Boulevard.

Newport Beach, California: Every year hosted in Newport Beach is the Christmas Boat parade. You can see this beautiful parade for free from any area on the shore. The boats are decorated in Christmas lights and decorations and they are absolutely beautiful as they float down the Newport Harbor. This parade is actually a 5 night long parade beginning December 16 and ending December 20.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin: The Milwaukee Holiday Parade is a huge parade that happens every year to celebrate the holiday season. This parade is full of floats, Christmas lights, elves, Christmas trees, and of course Santa Claus! This year the parade will be hosted on November 21st.

New York, New York: We couldn’t forget about probably the biggest holiday parade in the US. I’m of course referring to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! This is a televised event every year that merges the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas! It is an amazing experience and if you are lucky enough to be able to attend, I would highly recommend! It is an experience unlike any other! Of course this will be hosted on Thanksgiving Day, November 26!

Orlando, Florida: Another amazing Christmas experience is at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disney World! Disney World hosts the event of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party where the whole gang dresses up in their Christmas costumes and there is just so many lights, decorations, and holiday spirit! There are many opportunities to attend this fun party throughout the holiday season!

These are just a few of the many cities that host big holiday events all around the United States. The holiday season is such a beautiful time of the year and these festivities are the ones to not be missed.

These big celebrations sound really fun, especially for kids! My town has a fairly big parade and winter carnival so there is lots to do at home for the holidays.

Christmas is NYC is AMAZING! Something everyone should do at least once, if they can. I’d spend every Christmas there if I could.

I’d love to do Christmas in Disney one year as well!

I have never been to one of these big holidays events. Coming from rural Cape Breton it sure would be a great think for me to see 🙂
