Summer learning Activities
School is almost over and we can’t wait to start our summer activities. We know it can be really challenging to keep the kids active and interested in learning during the summer months. This is why we have so many great classes planned including swimming, soccer and music. We are also super excited about a cool program brought to us by Hot Wheels. Yes, Hot Wheels!
The FUNdamentals Learning Program makes summer learning really fun by playing with Hot Wheels. The program was designed with play based learning in mind to help improve language skills, memory, and academic focus. Many studies show that children who engage in structured play learning are more likely to develop strong social and memory skills. This is why I like the FUNdamentals Learning Program so much. Engaging my children in educational activities during summer will help them retain what they have learned at school. What a terrific way to keep our little ones’ brains active and on the fast track!
Available for free to parents and teachers, The FUNdamentals Learning Program aims to provide lesson plans that are designed to engage children from aged 3 to 7 in fun activities. Anyone can download and print the lessons created by experienced educators and implement them at home or in your classroom. Every lesson meets curriculum expectations and has been tailored to a grade and subject. The program’s lessons include math, science, and language and will provide you with summer learning activities.
We actually couldn’t wait to play with our Hot Wheels so we decided to get a head start. We started by doing the Summer Activity Cityscape which is a collection of activities that you can do to give you an idea about what the program is about. Once the activities are completed, you will end up with a fun 3D cityscape!
