Tips For Traveling During Spring Break
Lots of families love to travel and school vacations are the most popular times. Spring Break or March Break, are no exception, especially since many people are trying to escape winter. However, travelling during Spring Break can be tricky, because of the crowds and overinflated prices. There are a few things that you can do in order to save some money and still have an enjoyable trip. Follow these simple Tips For Traveling During Spring Break to have a memorable time.
Deciding where to vacation should be first on your list. If you don’t want to be anywhere that has huge crowds, then you should find a place that isn’t in the top ten places to go. If you do decide to visit one of the popular places, like Disney, you might want to look into their all inclusive packages. These packages usually include an onsite hotel, park admission (including early entry) and food. This option many seem pricey at first, but in the long run, you’ll be saving a ton of time and a little money.
Another option, no matter where you go, is to rent a house instead of staying in a hotel. This will allow you to have more space and you’ll have a kitchen too. Even though many people don’t like to cook while on vacation, this can be a great money saver. I’m not saying that you can’t eat out at all, just not for every meal. For example, you can eat breakfast before you leave in the morning, eat a bigger meal for lunch while you’re out and about for the day and then have sandwiches when you get back for dinner. You can also have some snacks in the house for those midnight munchies!
Depending on the distance of your destination from where you live, you will need to decide if you want to drive or fly. Flying can be better for longer distances, because you can arrive much quicker. You will want to try to book a direct flight for early morning in order to avoid delays. If the distance you’re travelling is short, then driving might be a better option. A road trip can be a lot of fun! Besides saving all of that money on airfare, you will also be able to bring food with you. As long as you plan accordingly, you can purchase all of this food on sale in the weeks prior to your vacation. You won’t have to worry about finding the exact types of foods that your family loves and you won’t pay the higher destination prices.
Spring Break travel can be a lot of fun for your family as long as you’re prepared. The more that you can plan and do in advance will help you be able to relax more and have fun while on vacation. Plus, if you save quite a bit of money because of your planning, the kids will be able to purchase a few extra souvenirs!

I think we are doing road trips. Kinda improv. Once, and only once, we traveled out of country during March break. Never again. The airport was nuts. It was not fun.
